Finca Festival 2011, FRANTZ & FRIENDS
The current edition of the most southern Festival of classical Music in Europe is devoted to
the great composer and the last romantic Sergej Rachmaninow.
Between June 30th and July 10th, 2011 the Orchestra „Philharmonic of Nations“ under the
direction of Prof. Justus Frantz offers music enjoyment of the highest level. The festivals
central point and in the same way a supporting pillar of Gran Canarias cultural life since
decades will be again the „Casa de los musicos“ in Monte Leon, where vespertine concerts
and Sunday matinées will take place in the precious garden. Beside those events there are two
great concerts planned in the Auditorium Las Tirajanas (ExpoMeloneras). The culmination of
the Festival will be the two philharmonic concerts in Las Palmas (Parque Santa Catalina),
where amongst others shall be performed the two fantastic Rachmaninow piano concerts.
